There’s ARSENIC in my Chicken?!?
http://www.buzzfeed.com/ashleyperez/8-foods-we-eat-in-the-us-that-are-banned-in-other-countries
I love Buzzfeed! They have some great articles. I knew that the U.S. allows a lot of things in our food system that many European countries don’t, but it always shocks me when I read about the toxic substances that are allowed in our food.
It can be a maze shopping for food. I find that a way to lose some of the stress is to try to avoid processed foods. There is a great app for smart phones called The Good Guide. I am a huge fan because it’s super easy to use. You just scan the barcode and a score pops up telling you the rating based on how “safe, healthy, green, and ethical,” it is.
